The ground disturbance 201 training is a half-day course that provides students with the training to fully understand ground disturbance and successfully complete the test for certification in Ground Disturbance 201 (USP Endorsed). The course on ground disturbance takes place in the classroom at our facility in Fort St. John, BC. Upon completion of the written exam, students will receive a temporary certificate with a permanent certificate arriving within 4-6 weeks. The certificate is valid for 3 years.


To register and complete the course, you will need to have:

  • Photo ID, or 2 non-photo government-issued IDs

The Ground Disturbance 201 course is intended to teach personnel in the oil and gas industry about all the variances involved in ground disturbance and how to identify potential hazards in an underground facility. The course material covers:

  • Knowledge of underground facilities, health hazards, damage prevention, flammable substances, hydrogen sulphide, and documentation to help prevent damage to physical properties
  • All the regulations pertaining to provincial and federal legislation
  • Crossing agreements
  • Locating resources, equipment, and technology
  • Environmental concerns
